1450, Inc. presentation of Frisbee
This video demonstrates how Frisbee workstation software provides an excellent workflow solution for digital dictation and transcription. The Frisbee application provides a seamless transfer of information between an Author and Transcriptionist either through e-mail or a shared folder. Using Frisbee, an Author’s dictation is sent to a Transcriptionist who can then use Dragon NaturallySpeaking or Dragon Medical to transcribe the dictation into a professional document. The document is then returned to the Author for approval and sign off. Once approved, the signed document is sent to the Transcriptionist to print and file the finalized document.
In this brief presentation of Frisbee you will see how to:
- Dictate a short professional memo
- Send the dictation to a Transcriptionist
- Transcribe the dictation using Dragon® NaturallySpeaking and send the text document to the Author for approval
- Sign the document and return it to the Transcriptionist to complete the job
For this presentation a shared folder will be used for the transfer of information between the Author and Transcriptionist.
Frisbee will always open to the Main Window. In this window you can see the:
- Main Menu
- Tool Bar
- Job Lister
- Job Lister Tabs
- Player/Recorder
Create a new job by clicking the “New” icon on the Tool Bar.
See specific information, for the new job, in the customizable Column Headings.
For example:
- Job Name
- Author
- State or Status of the job
- Destination
For this presentation the Frisbee options were configured so that the job is completed when the Author has Signed and the Transcriptionist has Printed.
To dictate a brief professional memo using the Frisbee Player/Recorder - click the Record Button and begin speaking.
Example: Mr. John Carter is a 39-year-old male who presents today to seek legal counsel concerning injuries he sustained during a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Carter states that while driving his 2007 Ford Mustang his car was hit on the driver’s side by a school bus when the driver of the bus ran through a red light traffic signal. Mr. Carter claims that the accident was caused due to negligence on the part of the driver of the school bus and is seeking compensation.
Click the Stop Button when you have finished your dictation. Now you can rewind the recording to listen to the dictation, continue dictating, or edit the recording.
When the dictation is complete click the “Send” icon on the Tool Bar.
